UPDATE May 18, 2021:
Pursuant to the latest guidelines from the CDC, life at First Presbyterian Church is returning to something that looks pretty close to ‘normal’ – we are back in our building and singing in worship.
The Session has decided that those who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask while attending in-person worship services, fellowship meals, or classes. We would ask that those who are not vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask out of care for our whole community, particularly the vulnerable and immunocompromised.
Everyone is encouraged to be aware of your social distancing. We will continue to be spread out in the church building – every other pew in the sanctuary and fewer tables in the fellowship hall.
The COVID-19 virus has changed the way we do some things for good. Many of our committees have decided to continue meeting on Zoom for the convenience of their members. We will also be offering more ‘hybrid’ classes (both in-person and a Zoom option), as it has allowed us to connect with more of FPC’s members and friends who aren’t able to attend church activities in person. Live-streamed worship will still be available on our Youtube channel and weekly questions for reflection and study will be posted on our website. If you would like help getting connected to the church online, please let us know!
