Mission Partners

  • AA/NA – One of the longest running missions of the church is hosting daily meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. For more than five decades, those seeking recovery have found a safe space here. For additional information about meeting times, please contact the church office.
  • The Wade Center – First Presbyterian Church is also proud to call the Wade Center a local mission partner. Caring for the children of our community through after-school and summer programs, Wade helps nurture kids intellectually and spiritually.
  • Bluefield Union Mission – Serving the community since 1931, the Union Mission helps feed the hungry, provide for those who are impoverished, and embodies the vision of Jesus: “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Matthew 25:35).

Dormitory Space for Mission Teams

A unique ministry of First Presbyterian Church is also as a host site for visiting mission teams. If you’d like to learn more about our facilities or reserve a time to stay with us, please contact the church office!

As a member congregation of the PC(USA), we also support mission projects around the world through the work of the Presbyterian Mission Agency!

God’s children,

historically and intentionally diverse,

daily sent on Christ’s mission of love and grace
